After 44 years in the beauty industry, I have always felt that my clients are my friends. Of course I take care of their hair, but just as important is the time we have to visit and I hope I enrich their lives just a bit before they leave.
Weather they come for a fabulous new cut, color, perm or style, I try to personalize that service just for them. I learned many years ago that if your hair is cut to suit your natural growth pattern, it can eliminate a lot of stress in your life and we all could use a little less stress.
The product line I have chosen is a boutique line called Phyto Organics. Virtually all of the products contain quinoa protein, the only botanical known to have all 32 amino acids found in the hair. These products replenish your hair with the nutrients it needs to keep it healthy and shiny. Healthy hair is my optimal goal. Many people struggle with hair that just won't hold a style because it becomes frizzy and unmanageable in humid weather. Recently I completed certification for Brazilian Blowout, and exciting new treatment I offer clients to smooth hair and keep frizz in check for up to 90 days. Operators must be certified in order to offer this service. I also have products that enhance the curls of your hair, Deva Curl.
Perhaps one of the most fulfilling things I have had the privilege of offering clients, even my own mother, is my expertise while they are going through chemotherapy. I find the group of products from Mediceuticals to be most helpful. It is one of my biggest blessings to help cancer patients look and feel better and get their hair back in the quickest time possible.
I love my job, but also I love my life away from the salon. Between volunteering at The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame,donating time to other charitable events, remodeling my home, and caring for my favorite terrier, TexAnne, and her 2 kitty friends.
